A hurting wrist had Andre Caracut a game-time decision for Rain or Shine in its 113-105 overtime loss to TNT Friday night in their PBA Philippine Cup semifinals series.
Coach Yeng Guiao disclosed the Elasto Painters' major point guard is nursing a sprained wrist, but still managed to suit up in Game 2 on a limited playing time at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Caracut only played for 19 minutes to finish with six points, and was actually not in the crucial stretches of the thrilling game that ended with Rain or Shine now trailing the best-of-seven series at 0-2.
"May sprained wrist siya sa left hand. One reason why we're also trying to manage yung minutes niya," said Guiao of the former De La Salle playmaker.
Being game-time decision, the Rain or Shine coach opted to have Caracut came off the bench and went with the trio of Adrian Nocum, Gian Mamuyac, and Jhonard Clarito alternating at the point position.

"Kaya nag start ako ng walang point guard," said Guiao.
Caracut topscored for Rain or Shine with 16 points in the series opener which the team lost, 98-81.
He hurt the wrist after being accidentally hit by veteran Kelly Williams while Caracut was going for a basket.
But Guiao expects the 29-year-old Caracut to bounce back in Game 3 when the Elasto Painters try to fight for their lives.
"He'll be better the next game," assures the champion coach.(RG)
