NorthPort Batang Pier player John Amores figured out in a shooting incident in Laguna Wednesday. He and his brother have already surrendered to the authorities early Thursday morning.
"This is a matter subject of investigation by the police, and we cannot comment in it. But we are saddened by such unfortunate incident," says PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial.
Amores had a heated argument with a fellow player about a call in a basketball game.
Amores will be undergoing inquest proceedings today and will possibly face attempted murder charges.
John Amores just signed a one-year deal with NorthPort, the team which drafted him 51st overall in the 2023 draft.
