SAN Miguel Beer and Terrafirma scored contrasting wins to open their campaign in the 2025 Batang PBA 15U tournament on Monday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The Batang Beermen ran away with a 63-46 win over the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in Group B while the Batang Dyip held on for a 70-69 triumph against the Batang Phoenix Fuel Masters in Group A.
Ronnie Paraiso Jr. and CJ Calma led the way with 17 and 15 points, respectively, for the Batang Beermen, who outscored the Batang Elasto Painters by 12 points in the fourth quarter to notch the convincing win.
Yash Sebastian and Benhur Ocoy added nine and eight points, respectively, for SMB which eyes a sweep of Group B when it takes on TNT on Thursday.
Adrian De Guzman and Yeoj Mangrobang each scored 21 points for the Batang Dyip, which blew a comfortable lead in the payoff period. Raymond Gabriel Santos and Vic Lloyd Ya?ez Jr. chipped in 11 and eight, respectively.

In the lone 13U game, Converge erased a 28-point deficit to stun Blackwater, 68-62, behind the 26 points of Dwane Matthew Asistido.
Ethan Francesco Gregorio added 20 points while Feldavid Adap had 12 for the Batang FiberXers, who went on a searing 40-6 finishing run to go 1-0 in Group B.
Joakim Emmanuel Se's 29 points went for naught as Blackwater lost its rhythm in the fourth quarter. (JBU)
